Round the Boards Podcast: Season 5 Episode 20 - SWC Semi Final 2 and SGP Latvia Reviews + British & Polish National Finals Previews

This week on the show we catch up from the events from the weekend as we hit Riga in Latvia for the 2nd Semi Final of the Speedway World Cup as Denmark joined Poland, Australia and Great Britain in the final in Warsaw at the end of August. Round 8 of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix also saw the top 3 in the world battle it out in the final but it was Bartosz Zmarzlik who stole a slender advantage going into the next round. We were joined on the show by popular Ipswich Witches and Redcar Bears rider Jason Edwards as he discusses the upcoming British Final in Manchester. as well as his current seasons with his respective clubs. Round the Boards Podcast: Season 5 Episode 19 - SGP & SGP2 Lodz, Premiership KO Cup Final Reviews + SWC Semi Final 2 and SGP Latvia Previews

On the show this week we took a look back at the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series as we rolled into a new venue of Lodz, Poland as we took in Round 7 of the SGP and Round 2 of SGP2. Robert Lambert became the 7th different winner across the 7 rounds whilst Mikkel Andersen took a huge step to claiming his maiden SGP2 title. We congratulated Leicester Lions who made it back to back Premiership KO Cup titles with victory over the Ipswich Witches, whilst also looking back over the 250cc European Final from Zarnovica. This week sees the Grand Prix move on quickly to Riga, Latvia for Round 8 but we also have the 2nd Semi Final of the Speedway World Cup where Denmark, Sweden, Latvia and Norway will fight it out to join Poland, Australia and GB in the final.
