Rocco is joined by Isaac Johnson of Leeds Live to look back on a tidy start to the season and a summer window Isaac reckons is near perfect.
Three games in and Leeds are unbeaten. A smash-and-grab winner at Forest, a competent cup win back at the City Ground, then two draws that would very likely have been defeats last season. The lads dig into what has actually changed: a bolder set-up, more street-wise-ness, and the fact Leeds were one of only nine clubs in the league to keep their manager over the summer.
Then the window. How Leeds beat off interest to sign James Trafford, and why his arrival plus Ethan Ampadu's early contract sends a message to every other target. Tarik Muharemović settling in like he has been here for years at 23. Nico Elvedi, Jaka Bijol and the selection headache in the back three. Why the Rodon injury might be the only reason Melvin Bard is a Leeds player at all. Michael Zetterer as possibly the best backup keeper in the division. And the deadline day pivot to Jean-Mattéo Bahoya after the Chelsea deal fell apart, plus why Julian Brandt was never quite convinced.
Plus: the one position Isaac still worries about, the Chelsea cup tie, Newcastle under the lights at Elland Road, the away draw curse, and how the West Stand build is changing matchday.
Isaac writes for Leeds Live and his free Marching On newsletter is out every Friday on Substack, just past 1,000 subscribers. Follow him at @IsaacJohnsonLL.
